Congratulations to our own Lecturer, Mrs. Olagbegi-Oloba Victoria Banke on her emergence as the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) National Treasurer Elect.

Mrs Banke OIagbegi-Oloba is a princess from the ancient Owo kingdom in Ondo State. She is a refined Legal practitioner, Researcher, Law teacher, Mediator and Arbitrator. She did her
Diploma in Computer studies at the Institute of computer studies, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo State and graduated in 2003 after which she attended the prestigious University of ||orin for her LLB and graduated as one of the top best students of her set.

She proceeded to the Nigerian Law school and was called to the Bar in 2008. She later embarked on her LLM degree and graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University, ||e-lfe in flying colors.

She recently took professional courses in Arbitration and Mediation respectively at the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICArb) and Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC) with great success. She is currently on her PhD program.

Mrs Banke has been in active private practice since her call to Bar. She started her Career in Private practice with Goke Adurota & co. A foremost Law Firm in Akure, Ondo State after which she opened her law firm where she practiced actively for years until recently when she delved into academics. She currently practices with L.K. Dare and 00., which is a foremost law firm in Akure, Ondo State. She also serves as a Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, AAUA.

She is a weII-balanced dispute resolution expert with great strength in Arbitration and Mediation on the one part, Pro-Bono criminal cases on the other part. She has handled high profile cases both civil and criminal up to the Court of Appeal. She is also a law teacher and researcher of International Repute.

Mrs Banke is a member of Young International Arbitrators Group of the London Court for
International Arbitration, FIDA (Ekiti State), Catholic Lawyers Association of Nigeria (Ondo State chapter), NALT, NBA, African Bar Association (AfBA), Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC), Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators(NICArb), International Bar Association (IBA) and American Bar Association Section of International Law (ABASIL).
